The actress announced the news on her Kveller.com blog, also noting on Facebook that she posted the statement to beat ?the tabloids to it.?

?After much consideration and soul-searching, Michael and I have arrived at the decision to divorce due to ?Irreconcilable Differences,?? the ?Big Bang Theory? actress wrote.
?Divorce is terribly sad, painful and incomprehensible for children. It is not something we have decided lightly,? she continued.

Mayim went on to insist that the couple?s attachment parenting ?played no role? in their split.
?The hands-on style of parenting we practice played no role in the changes that led to this decision; relationships are complicated no matter what style of parenting you choose,? she wrote.
The actress said she and Michael will continue to put their children ? Miles, 9, and Frederick, 4, first.
