Assistant Professor in Negotiation
The Public & Private Policy Department of ESSEC Business School (www.essec.edu) invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in Negotiation, starting 1 September 2013, to be based in Cergy, near Paris, France.
Candidates should hold a PhD, enjoy teamwork, and have the desire as well as the capacity to teach undergraduate studies and even Executive Education programs. Candidates should demonstrate specific expertise in the roles of negotiation for the firm, be they industrial and social relations, conflict management, negotiation of contracts, joint-ventures, etc. Applicants will have to illustrate their potential to conduct research and publish in international peer-reviewed journals. Candidates must be fluent in English. Proficiency in French is highly appreciated.
Within the Department, the successful candidate will cooperate with the Institute for Research and Education on Negotiation (IRENE Paris & Singapore ? http://irene.essec.edu), will benefit from its support, networks, and opportunities, will contribute to further development of the institute and accordingly take on responsibilities within this scope. Depending on his/her research and teaching priorities, the successful applicant will also cooperate with the other institutes and chairs within the Department ? Institute for Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship-IIES, European Centre for Law and Economics-CEDE, Urban Economics Chair, Chair for Real Estate ? or within other programs at ESSEC Business School.
